Biography/Statement:
Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, Allen Dean Cochran received his art training from two very notable artists of his day, that being Kenyon Cox of Ohio and Birge Harrison of Woodstock, both members of the National Academy. Cochran moved from Ohio to Woodstock where he became a member of the Woodstock Artists Association. He exhibited with that group and at the National Academy, Corcoran Gallery of Art, Art Institute of Chicago, and Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art. He was also a member of the Salmagundi Club.
