ARTISTIC APPROACH
My influences are the American and Canadian masters such as the Group of Seven, J.S. Sargent and Richard Schmid.
When I am painting, I am always looking to inject movement to my subject. I love to play with light and texture on the canvas and make us feel like the subject is alive. My way of thinking about painting is not limited by subjects and color palette, as my signature lies in the application of paint. I work with oil on canvas or board and I paint landscape, still life, portraits and figures. I use a variety of tools, brushes and spatulas because I believe that every part of the canvas should be interesting for the eyes.
Oil is an exciting medium and exploring it every day brings me a lot of joy. –
