Biography/Statement
American artist Stephen Motyka was born in Rhode Island in 1964 and started painting and drawing at a young age. He maintained his interest in art as a hobby throughout his schooling. Upon graduation from High School, Stephen started taking courses at the Rhode Island School of Design, where he honed his skills both with watercolor and oils. While in design school, he became influenced by many different styles of painting. Over the years, he has come into his own as a professional artist, a frame maker, and as an art collector as well.
