Biography/Statement
From 1891 to 1894 Pieler studied decoration and gilding, working as an interior painter until 1898 and then as a decorator until 1911, both in Magdeburg and Berlin. From 1911 in Vienna, he worked as an art restorer and painter. In the mid-1920s, he began creating independent works of art.
