Biography/Statement
Born in Fair Lawn, New Jersey, Helen Van Wyk became a resident of Rockport, Massachusetts in 1968 and was a painter of portraits and still lifes as well as a highly active person in the community including the Rockport Art Association.
She wrote seven books taught and demonstrated around the country. She became most known for her PBS television series on painting, “Welcome to my Studio” in the 1990s.
The Woburn Guild of Artists was fortunate to have Van Wyk agree to do a demonstration for their students.
